A great adventure is waiting for you.  Resident Camp is a highlight of any boy's Scouting experience.  If you ask a Scout what he wants to do, one of the answers will undoubtedly be "GO CAMPING"!

We are very pleased that you have chosen resident camp to supplement Pack 100's program.  It is our goal to give you the best program possible.

You'll want to bring the right equipment so that you have the best weekend possible.  Please print this list out: click this link to get a list of what to bring.

How far is it to Camp McLoughlin ?

Camp McLoughlin is Crater Lake Council's premier Cub Scout Camping facility on Lake of the Woods in the Southern Oregon Cascades.  Camp McLoughlin is only a short trip from anywhere in Central Oregon, Southern Oregon and Northern California .  Scouters in Central Oregon should first go to Klamath Falls .  If you are from California , you should first go to Ashland or Klamath Falls . (see maps at the end of the form section)

From Medford, at I-5 exit 30, proceed on Hwy 62, Crater Lake Hwy , for 5 1/2 miles to junction Hwy 140.  Turn right, east, on Hwy 140. Drive 35-1/2 miles (watch for mile post 35 and go 1/2 mile) to junction with the west side Lake of the Woods road, Forest Service Road 3601, turn right.  Follow Forest Service Road 3601 for 1/2 mile to Camp McLoughlin , parking in the main parking lot.

From Ashland, at I-5 exit 14, follow Hwy 66 South to Dead Indian Memorial Hwy , marked with a " Mountain Lakes " sign.  Turn left and proceed up Dead Indian Memorial Hwy ; look for milepost 31.  In the next 0.9 mile, the road descends a hill and curves to the right.  Look for the west-side Lake of the Woods road leading to the left and turn left on it.  Road is signed "Organizational Camps".  Proceed 3 miles to Camp McLoughlin , parking in the main lot.

From Klamath Falls , follow Hwy 140 West to Lake of the Woods .  Watch for milepost 36 and go 1/2 mile.  The Forest Service Visitor Center is on your left.  Just past (west) the visitor center, turn left on the west side road, Forest Service Road 3601.  Follow Forest Service Road 3601 for 1/2 mile to Camp McLoughlin , parking in the main parking lot.

It is strongly recommended that the Pack travel to Camp together.  We should carpool and caravan up to camp.  We will check into camp as a pack, and not as individuals.  It is very traumatic for a seven or eight year old Cub Scout to be dropped off at summer camp when his friends in the rest of the Pack have not yet arrived.  Meeting us in the Hoover parking lot before the Pack travels to camp is recommended.
